Canada held it’s third express entry draw of 2021, on the 20th of January and invited 374 candidates with a minimum score of 741 under the Provincial nominee program (PNP).

The Express Entry is one of the main gateways to Canada for those skilled workers looking for a Permanent Residence.  The Canadian immigration plans to welcome over 110,000 immigrants between 2021-2023 under the Express entry every year. The Express Entry helps in managing the skilled worker applications under the following three programs: Federal skilled worker program, Federal skilled trades program, and Canadian Experience Class.

Under the Express Entry, the eligible candidates who are eligible under the aforementioned skilled worker programs can upload their profile onto IRCC’s website. A Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) based on their age, education, language skills, and work experience can be obtained.

Express Entry draws are held almost every fortnight and the invitation to apply for permanent residence is immediately sent out to the candidates with the highest CRS scores. This entitles them to go ahead and submit their application for a permanent residence to IRCC.

When the candidates receive an invitation through the Express Entry draws, it entitles them to an additional 600 CRS points. entitling them to the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). This doubles the guarantee that they will successfully receive an ITA for permanent residence.

COPING WITH THE BLUES OF MOVING ABROAD

COPING WITH THE BLUES OF MOVING ABROAD

It is always going to be hard to say goodbye to your loved ones, friends, and the country that was your home for over a few decades. As you enter the aircraft with a bag of mixed emotions and land in a new country where you hardly know anyone, it is not going to be easy, but it is not impossible to cope with the situation and get accustomed to the new place, which will become your home from now on.

FROM INITIAL EXCITEMENT TO DEPRESSION

Initially, when we move into a new country, we will be very excited for the first few days to a month, and slowly as loneliness starts to creep in, we will begin to feel low and begin to feel homesick. These types of behavior and emotions are common amongst newcomers. You can overcome this by engaging in hobbies, making new friends and socializing, or even explore the country. Learn to move out of your comfort zone and explore the world. These will help to beat the blues and cope with the newfound home. Make it a point to call your loved ones every day. Share your excitement about the new place. It will help to overcome homesickness.

KNOWING YOUR CITY

Before entering a new country, it is always best to know about the country. Learn the language that is spoken, the cuisines, explore the new restaurants, and look for restaurants that make food that is familiar to you. Good and tasty food will make you feel comfortable. These places might help you make new friends. Go out and familiarize yourself with your neighborhood. Write a list of places to explore, strike out as you visit each of them.

MAKING NEW FRIENDS

It is always good to be with two or more people, rather than being alone and feeling left out. Try to find the social groups in your city and join them. Even social media has many groups that might be of help to you. Hang out with your co-workers. You might have a friend’s friend in the City; try to extend your friends’ circle. Make it a habit to write a diary and share your day. Sometimes it will help you feel better.

These are usually the initial hiccups faced by people when we move into a new country, without having friends or families around. These are sure to fade away as you mix in the crowd and soon will realize that this is home.

Welcome to CANADA!!!!!

COVID 19 AND ITS IMPACT ON THE CANADIAN IMMIGRATION

COVID-19 AND ITS IMPACT ON THE CANADIAN IMMIGRATION

Covid-19 has brought the globe to almost a standstill. Canada has not been an exception either. The passport, citizenship, and immigration services have also taken a set back and so also the economy. As many countries have begun the vaccination campaign, Canada has been slow in rolling out the vaccines although they hope to see the majority of the Canadians vaccinated before the end of the year. Canada looks forward to a brighter 2021.

TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS

In 2019 Canada had welcomed 3,41,000 new immigrants and looked forward to welcoming more in 2020, however, the global setback due to the pandemic had forced a slowdown. Canada has been no exception and has imposed travel restriction due to Covid-19 pandemic, since March 18th, 2020. Limiting the entry to nationals and fewer foreign nationals. The Provincial Nominee program, The Express Entry, and few other immigration services are functional despite the pandemic.

VACCINE AND ENTRY PERMIT

With the emergence of the vaccine, Canada might ease the travel restrictions on all those who carry a certificate of having vaccinated and a negative COVID-19 report. This might also slowly help the country to get back to normalcy with an increase in the flow of new immigrants and help to boost the country’s economy. Canada began its vaccination campaign in December 2020 and hopes to complete it by end of 2021.

BOUQUET OF PROGRAMS FOR 2021

DO YOU NEED TO BE FINANCIALLY SOUND TO IMMIGRATE TO CANADA?

Canada is one of the countries, which welcomes immigrants from across the world. The year 2020 might have been slow, but 2021 looks promising especially for those who are looking at migrating to Canada. Speaking about resettlement, many of the applicants might wonder about how strong they should be financially. A few of the immigration programs do not require anything except their application-processing fee. IS YOUR IMMIGRATION APPLICATION STRONG ENOUGH TO BE ACCEPTED

IS YOUR IMMIGRATION APPLICATION STRONG ENOUGH TO BE ACCEPTED?

The key to your entry lies in how strong, complete and authentic your immigration application is. A few things that can help you make your application strong, which will leave you with less chance of your application being refused or rejected. Ensure the application is complete, strong and persuasive.

COMPLETE APPLICATION

By filling all the fields in the application correctly and if you are able to provide the supporting documents, then there is very less chance of your application being refused. However there are people who tend to fill everything rightly but their bank statement might not hold their name, these might sound trivial, yet this could lead to the refusal or rejection of your application. Always double check that application is filled and in case you are unable to provide certain supporting owing to the current COVID 19 situation, mention it clearly.

MAKING A STRONG APPLICATION

We do not stop at just ensuring the application is complete, but need to ensure that the supporting documents are strong enough, which will help to complete the application and make it strong. Many times a visa officer can refuse an application and not in every case that they would be mentioning the exact reason for refusing an application. Due to lack of proper supporting documents, they can refuse an application. In case there is no picture of the married couple in the marriage certificate the application can be rejected.

In a visa application, the applicant needs to prove that they meet with the program criteria and provide sufficient evidence. The documents provided by the applicant as well as the supporting documents needs to meet the criteria for the decision maker to accept the application.

CREDIBILITY

Apart from the information provided by the applicant, the officer can also verify the information through relatives, spouse, family and co-workers. In case, there is any discrepancy in the information provided by the applicant then the officer can return the application. It is always best to carefully review the application and ensure the application is persuasive.
